I hope if Burrows is playing first unit PP he is replacing our second center on that line and not the sniper. |

Yes. I've closed my links now but I believe the article said it was Sedins, Vrbata, Burrows and Edler on 1PP. |

Teams will have a heyday with this defense as the season wears on. One more injury and it will hit the fan. I like the fact that Benning is looking from within, but that’s not where the solution is coming from this season. I’m sure he is at loathe to pay the price for a quality player but the sooner he addresses these holes the better. |

Imagine this team without Tanev and Hamhuis.....
I wouldn't write off the entire Canucks AHL d-core. Biega and Saguinetti have been really good, I don't see the downside to giving one or both of them at least 2-3 games to see if they can play better than Weber.
Sbisa seems like he'll be staying in the lineup, I think they really want him for his size/physicality and are willing to overlook the mistakes. |

They need someone who can play NHL 20+ minutes. |

It would at least have appeared that way if Corrado, Biega or Saguinetti were actually dressed for a game.
Speed really is our kryptonite. Not sure if they are afraid to admit it. Maybe the system tweaks will solve this issue. But will not hold my breath. |

Sometimes you can find that in an AHL player who just needs a chance to play.
Hamhuis will be back in about a month anyway so that's why I'd suggest giving Biega a few games now to see what he can do. |

There is no trust from the coach right now, and why throw them to the wolves. Our regular D is struggling right now. Get a younger decent size puck moving D who can also QB the PP. Pay the price. |

A month and you can kiss the playoffs goodbye, not that that's a bad thing under the circumstances. |

Assuming we lose all, or close to all games until then? Yeah, probably. I'll bet against it though.
Still think the best move is to give Biega a chance before making a panic trade. |

I think Benning probably underestimated Garrison and overestimated the abilities of Bieksa/Sbisa a bit. |

It is never a good time. The only way you dress someone from the farm is because of injury or poor play.
If they can make the trade for a young dman who can make a difference, then I hope they do it. But it will be expensive.
Do something Benning. |

I hope you guys realize that the GM that's usually aggressively shopping around the league is usually the one who tends to overpay. That''s why they call it a panic trade. The bottom feeders are always willing to wait until the last hour of the TDL before they sell a player unless they get an offer they really like. And the contenders or middle of the pack teams usually aren't willing to give up a solid defensmen, again unless it's too good of a deal or they really like a particular player on your roster.
This isn't a fantasy hockey league. |

The steady dmen depth chart is
Hammer and Tanev.
Stanton is borderline.
Then Edler
Sbisa, Bieksa and Weber are wild cards (should not be paired together)
